So awesome and easy! I followed recipe to a t which I don’t normally do. I found 4 lbs of chicken legs on sale yesterday and then found this well rated recipe today. I agree that this will be a long time fave in my family. My picky 7 year old said he liked it too! Next time I will add more Siracusa though because we like more heat. Thank you so much for sharing!!-25 Feb 2019

Quick and easy honey sriracha chicken recipe made in one pan in just 30 minutes on stovetop. It’s a sweet and spicy weeknight meal, made with simple ingredients.

I love sriracha and this honey sriracha chicken recipe always leaves my mouth watering.

Usually, I serve it with plain boiled rice or butter rice but it’s also great in tacos, pastas, sandwiches and so much more.

If you are making this for kids, definitely lower the amount of sriracha sauce.

Honey-Glazed Chicken Legs Recipe

These honey-glazed chicken legs are delicious. I purchased this chicken when it went on sale for a price I couldn&rsquot resist.

So when I got home, I thought about what to do with it.

One of my readers asked me several months ago if I&rsquod ever made honey-glazed chicken. So I thought that might be a good way to cook these drumsticks.

My husband gets tired of some of the same old chicken recipes. For that reason, I started mixing ingredients for a honey-glaze sauce that I let him taste test.

As soon as I came up with something he approved of, I had my recipe.

I can&rsquot argue when he asks me what kind of chicken we&rsquore having for supper. After all, it is probably my favorite meat.

However, like everyone else, I&rsquove gotten stuck in a rut with certain cuts of chicken, like legs and thighs.

I have dozens of recipes for chicken breasts and even more for rotisserie chicken I get from Costco, such as this super easy one-pan chicken dinner.

Another favorite chicken recipe is this delicious Crock Pot chicken stew. I&rsquove added all sorts of coatings and sauces to create unique flavors.

It&rsquos a totally different story with legs since I don&rsquot buy them often. In fact, my standard way of cooking chicken legs is to coat them with gluten-free panko or breadcrumbs and bake them in the oven. But I figured it was time to make something a little different.

Health Benefits of Chicken

According to Organic Facts, chicken is very good for you. It contains quite a bit of protein, vitamin B-12, and many other nutrients you need to stay healthy.

Ingredients for Honey-Glazed Chicken Legs

The glaze is for a dozen chicken legs. If you get a smaller pack, decrease the amount of each ingredient.

For the glaze, I used ketchup, honey, soy sauce, mustard, onion powder, and garlic powder. I&rsquove listed the exact measurements in the recipe card below.

How to Make the Honey-Glazed Chicken Legs

Mix all of the ingredients for the glaze in a bowl. Next, place the chicken legs on a pan in a single layer. It&rsquos best if the legs don&rsquot touch each other.

Spoon or brush the glaze mixture over the chicken. Bake until they are done.

Turn up the oven and turn over the chicken. Finally, return the chicken to the oven and bake a little longer, until the top of the chicken turns a deep, rich, gooey, reddish brown.

What is sriracha?

Sriracha is a popular type of hot sauce all across the world. “Sriracha” is considered a general term for hot sauce made from chili peppers, distilled vinegar, garlic, sugar and salt. So, you might say sriracha is a hot sauce but not all hot sauces are sriracha.

For example, sriracha is spicy with a sweet garlic flavoring, whereas Tabasco is spicy with a tangy vinegar flavoring. Their flavor profiles are wildly different and should not be used interchangeable when called for in a recipe.

Where Can I buy Sriracha?

In the US, sriracha is often associated with a specific hot sauce made by Huy Fong Foods with the rooster on the bottle, thus earning the name “rooster sauce.” However, there are many generic brands available. Sriracha is so wildly popular that you can purchase it at any grocery store or on amazon.

Other Recipes You Might Like

This honey sriracha chicken fits the perfect bill. It&rsquos sticky sweet, spicy, salty, with a tint of sour. The chicken is extremely moist, juicy, delicious, bursting with bold flavors and absolutely addictive.

I found myself scraping off the sticky sauce on my skillet after I finished all the chicken. Just look at the pictures, you can&rsquot blame me for doing that!

The best thing of all is the simplicity of the recipe. It takes 6 ingredients, nothing out of the ordinary. Chicken, honey, Sriracha, vinegar, garlic, and salt, which you already have in your fridge or pantry.

For the chicken, you can use chicken breast, thighs, drumsticks or wings. Make it for dinner tonight!

Sriracha Honey Chicken Legs

I love honey. I love sriracha. And, I love chicken, so they should go together really well, right? We are about to find out. There are three very good reasons you should try this Honey boneless skinless chicken thigh recipe.

  • First, everybody loves chicken with a sticky sauce. Period. I have not met anyone who doesn't. And sticky sauces tasting hot and sweet are just as appetizing as they can get.
  • Second, Sriracha sauce has become so popular these days around the world. Coming from a small coastal town in Thailand, this sauce is bottled and available in most supermarkets in any place. But how do you use it? Honey is the answer. Its sweetness complements the heat from the sriracha so well.
  • Third, this recipe has become one of my reader's favorite on Pinterest. A lot of them have liked it and shared it.

I had previously shared Sweet chili pineapple sauce, one of my favorite hot and sweet sauces. Had tried various sauce-based dishes like Crispy tofu in a garlic sauce, Fried Chicken in sweet chilli Sauce, Chicken meatball in plum sauce.

This recipe makes a delicious sticky chicken diner in just about 20 minutes on the stovetop. Busy days dinner can't be easier and quicker than this.

The Asian-inspired sauce has just five ingredients, mostly pantry staple. It comes together really quickly and pairs really well with rice.

This spicy honey skinless boneless chicken recipe gets its heat from the sriracha sauce and sweetness from the honey.

Ingredients Needed to Make Honey Sriracha Sauce

The most important ingredient in this sauce is the Sriracha. I prefer Huy Fung Foods Sriracha with the rooster on the bottle. Another brand that’s good is Flying Goose Sriracha with the goose on the bottle.

You also want to select a good quality honey. Preferably one that is fresh and in liquid form. Honey can get crystallized over time, which won’t work as well for this sauce.

So, the ingredients you need for this recipe are:
